Our Tour

SUMMERGATE Winery

Right from the start it has always been about the creation of premium wines using estate grown grapes.  We use natural techniques such as reduced crop yield, special canopy and vineyard management practices, and working – as nature intended – without petro-chemical pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers to ensure the production of high quality fruit.  Hand harvested and gently pressed, our wines are slowly fermented in small batch stainless steel tanks.  The result is an amazingly fresh, crisp, fruit forward wine series.

Summerland Sweets

Mr. F.E. (Ted) Atkinson founded Summerland Sweets in 1962.

In the early 60‘s, working out of pickers’ cabin on his orchard, Ted started producing fruit jelly candies to raise funds for the local Rotary Club. He soon turned to commercial production and what began as a fundraising effort grew into a retirement project and blossomed into Summerland Sweets!

Today we have a full range of fruit based products including pancake syrups, gourmet jams, nut brittles, and many gift packages. Summerland Sweets is also home to Sleeping Giant Fruit Winery which began operations in 2008.

Dirty Laundry
(Our Lunch Stop)

Thanks to the vision of the vineyard's founders, Dirty Laundry Vineyard has some of the oldest vinifera vines in the Okanagan Valley. The winery features a most welcoming and beguiling vine-covered patio that overlooks orchards, vineyards and Okanagan Lake, as well as the historic trestle bridge at Trout Creek Canyon. Lunch will be a deli picnic on Dirty Laundry's patio..with Artisto Gelato for dessert!
