Lake Country Sourced and Cycled
monday - Sept 10
The Okanagan's Lake Country has thousands of years of agricultural history, starting with the Syilx Nation and their permanent settlement on the shores of Duck Lake. We'll ride through some of that history and visit a winery and working fruit farms on the bench before we take a picturesque ride around Wood Lake on the Okanagan Rail Trail. We'll stop at the north end of the lake for a picnic lunch in Kaloya park, on the shores of Kalamalka Lake. Then it's an easy ride back on the east side of the Lake and we'll wrap up with a visit to Claremont Ranch Organics and a final beer tasting at Tree Brewing Beer Institute back in Kelowna

ex nihilo winery
The story of Ex Nihilo is one of lifelong friendship and an enduring passion to grow and create, shared by owners Jeff and Decoa Harder. The origin of our winery is tied to a sculpture that inspired its name, was the catalyst for its creation and epitomises its emergence as a premier, award-winning Okanagan Valley wine producer.
Penny Gambell's family has been instrumental in developing the fruit industry in the Okanagan for four generations now. We'll stop in for a visit and a look at how agriculture has evolved in this region over the past century.
Kaloya Park - Our Lunch Stop
This is one of our favourite regional parks, tucked away on a peninsula that juts out into stunning Kalamalka Lake. We'll supply the picnic lunch from Waterfront Cafe and Catering.
claremont ranch organics
This small organic orchard is a work of passion for new orchardists Matt and Molly Thurston. This young couple have carried on the legacy of this historic property - one of the first organic orchards in the region.
tree brewing beer institute
Since 1996, our brewing philosophy has been quite simple - to brew memorable, well balanced and flavourful beers regardless of the style. From light and crisp, to malt forward and smooth all the way to loaded with hops, each of our brews are crafted using only 100% Malted Barley, the Finest Hops, Water and Yeast.
